House: Slytherin Year: 2011-2018 Occupation: Hit wizard A little more in depth Personality Jacob Flint is a man of many faces. He's adaptable to most situations - a polite, reserved face for pureblood social events. A serious face for situations at work that call on it. A smile and a laugh for his mates, and in the event he ever acquires as serious girlfriend ... she'll get to know all of his faces. While he's generally easy going and laid back, Jacob still has a few prejudices drilled into him by family, by Pureblood society, by his housemates. He's not a fan of werewolves, or Muggles, but he tolerates Muggleborns because ... well, they have magic, too. Special abilities/strengths/flaws Jacob was not the brightest bulb in the box. He had to work at most of his classes and really focus on his schoolwork to pass. He's more adept at hands on magic - such as Charms, offensive and defensive spells - than he is as potions or plant recognition. Relevant backstory Jacob knew from a young age that he wanted to be a hit wizard. He saw a couple of articles about them in the Prophet just before he went to school, and after that he read everything he could about them. It was one of the few things he researched voluntarily that wasn't part of a class assignment. He focused on NEWT classes related to that field, and entered into training immediately after school. He is very focused on his job, and fortunately not as chatty as McKimmon is - he tends to make cleaner captures than she does, and there's something of an unspoken contest between them now that she's finished her training as well. | |||||||||
